The week of May 14th – May 20th is Food Allergy Awareness Week. There is no better week to express my thanks to the food allergy community and all the wonderful people who support them/us. To all involved in the food allergy community:
I discovered that I had life-threatening food allergies after eating a huge plate of shrimp scampi. I was 28 and had eaten shellfish my whole life. Until this point, I was fine. Then I wasn’t. I haven’t eaten shellfish since.
